holiday recap, a wedding and moving boxes
Back from holidays! Back in Zurich after nearly 4 weeks. The holiday in Spain was awesome, just what I needed. No typical tourist holiday, but different places, different youth hostels, beaches and sightseeing and at the end a fabulous week in Tarifa, young and mainly Spanish tourist destination which cannot be found in holiday brochures.
We rented an apartment there which was finally a whole nice and modern house 1 minute away from the beach. Not the typical tourist beach, but sand dunes, white nearly untouched beach 4,5 kilometres long. Azure blue sea in different shades, just like in the Caribbean. We drove to different little beaches, beaches with kite surfers, wind surfers, nicely tanned beach boys and the highest sand dunes I have seen outside a desert. We joined a day trip to Tanger in Morocco as Tarifa is just 35min away by speed ferry and went on a 2 hour horse riding trip another day. Of course we also tested the nightlife - cocktail bars, pubs and latin music.
In these three weeks I really relaxed and enjoyed every minute to the maximum. The day after we returned from Spain we drove with our parents to lake Garda in Italy, where my cousin’s wedding took place. 4 days at the lake, excellent Italian food and a romantic weeding! Fabian joined us and I enjoyed having him back after 3 weeks. Back in Austria I finished packing my moving boxes and on Thursday we drove to Zurich – yes I moved into Fabian’s flat. We are now officially living together.
Exciting – isn’t it!? But it feels right and I am quite calm about it. I started unpacking my boxes, finally we moved some furniture and I hung up my clothes in the cupboard. Nearly everything is unpacked now, still pictures and decoration material has to find its place which has to be a mutual decision, I guess… as we both have to like it.
And well… slowly but steadily my 8 free weeks come to an end… in 10 days I will be in Kronberg, near Frankfurt, on my 3,5 weeks introduction and orientation seminar. I received my intro package, flight reservations and agenda.
Time is moving on, exciting times coming up, new challenges, new people to be met, new things to be learned.
